The home farm at Simonsbath Barton has a range of stables that can be booked for visitors wanting to bring their own horses. There is also a huge network of bridleways across the moor, several of which cross the farm, meaning that there is excellent riding direct from the stable yard.
The stables are available on a DIY livery basis and must be left clean and tidy at the end of your stay. Visiting horses and their owners are required to have comprehensive insurance cover against personal accident and public liability.
Please contact us to discuss availability. The stables are not included in the cottage rental price. They are available for approximately £15 per horse per night, which includes molinia bedding (molinia is a type of tough grass which grows on the farm and which we cut to make animal bedding. Our horses do not eat it as hay is much nicer but, if in doubt, we advise fussy bedders to bring their own bedding). We can provide hay/haylage for an extra charge. Please Contact Us to discuss your stable booking.
There are several well-fenced turn out paddocks, but their use may be limited during wet weather to prevent damage.
